2. Venue Restrictions? We know the drill.

We’re very proud of our the partnerships we’ve built around Austin, and as a preferred vendor at many Austin venues - we know the ins and outs of their rules, requirements, parking situations, and logistics for loading in and out. We also work with exclusive venues in Scottsdale, Las Vegas, Telluride, and other destination locations. Sometimes, we are able to gain a little flexibility and grace with specific venues, but we never leave anything up to chance!

To avoid any day-of fiascos, we:

  • Confirm all floral installation guidelines well in advance so there are no surprises.

  • Coordinate directly with venue teams to get written approvals for suspended installations, water sources, load-in restrictions, and teardown logistics.

  • Anticipate potential challenges - from limited elevator access to strict cleanup policies - and adjust our game plan accordingly.

By planning ahead and leveraging our strong venue relationships, we ensure that every floral installation is executed smoothly, without last-minute scrambles or logistical headaches.

3. High-Profile Clients? Confidentiality is Key.

4. Outdoor Events? The Sun is NOT Our Friend.

Florals + heat = a delicate dance. For outdoor events in Austin, Scottsdale, and other warm-weather destinations, we time our setups carefully to keep flowers fresh. When it’s possible, we will opt to arrive later in the day to minimize floral exposure to direct sunlight and heat. We also select heat-resistant blooms where possible, and use hydration techniques to keep the blooms as fresh as possible. If there’s an extreme weather change, and we need to pivot - we will do what we need to do to protect the florals while ensuring that the setup still aligns with the client’s vision.

5. Multi-Day Events? Refresh, Repurpose, Redesign.

We are very much in the camp of wanting florals to live their longest lifespan and be repurposed where possible, but there are a few key factors to consider - floral variety, weather, and event duration all play a role in how long blooms stay fresh.

For example, in hotter months or outdoor events, it’s not feasible to reuse florals from one day to the next. And something that many clients don’t realize? The lifespan of their florals doesn’t start at setup - it starts long before. Blooms are cut at the farm, boxed, and shipped before arriving at our studio, where we reprocess and hydrate them to bring them back to life before designing even begins.

For multi-day activations, if your budget doesn’t allow you to have new and different florals at each event - we highly recommend including our refresh fee. That way, we can send a designer on-site to replace any stems that have crashed, keeping arrangements looking flawless from the first day to the last.
